Week 3 - Elasticity & Flexibility in Animation
INSTRUCTIONS
Exercise 1
I drew the ball using the theory of both timing and spacing that was taught earlier. I then added more keyframes of the ball to create a slow in slow out effect. I found this useful when overlapping keyframes at the top of the arc, and separating further during the bounce. This made my animation look more realistic.
I then added inbetween frames to show how the ball stretches and squashes based on the height of the arc.
FEEDBACK
Week 2 - Increase first keyframe so it becomes smoother.

Week 3 - Elasticity & Flexibility in Animation
INSTRUCTIONS
Exercise 1
For the first exercise, we used Adobe Animate to animate a bouncing ball. I started with drawing the ground as well as the arcs, to simulate where the ball would bounce to, and on top of.

This is the final video of the bouncing ball animation.
Exercise 2
For this second exercise, we dived deeper into the animation making it seem much more fluid and similar to real life. We learned and then applied the squash and stretch technique.
First, I draw out the arc, as well as the balls as key poses, to determine where the ball will bounce to.
I then added inbetween frames to show how the ball stretches and squashes based on the height of the arc.
This is the final video for exercise 2.
Week 2 - Increase first keyframe so it becomes smoother.
Week 3 - Rigid movement of tail between breakdowns. Add more curve and follow the trajectory.
Exercise 1: The exercise opened my eyes to the basics of animation, I found it fun and easy to understand, as I enjoy the trial and error aspect. In a way it seemed as though my animation came to life when I started incorporating the slow in slow out technique.
Exercise 2: I really enjoyed this weeks lesson and learning how to incorporate different styles like pose to pose and straight ahead. This exercise kind of brings me to understand more on what to expect on my upcoming projects.
